Solihull Couple in final to win the HEART Wedding

 SOLIHULL COUPLE ARE IN THE FINAL TO WIN THE HEART WEDDING

 

Garry and Dawn Wardell from Solihull have made it to the final of Heart 100.7’s wedding competition to renew their vows. The Heart Wedding has attracted 8,000 entries from couples all over the Midlands, and the Station has short-listed these to just three.

 

It’s now down to Heart listeners and the general public to vote for their favourite couple by going online to heart.co.uk. The couple with the most votes by Friday 5th June will win a dream wedding worth over £35,000.

 

Garry 45, who runs his own security company and Dawn, 46 a nurse at George Elliot Hospital, will be celebrating their 24th year together this year. When they got married back in 1987, money was tough, so they settled for a £15 wedding dress and a cake made by Dawn’s friend who was the hospital chef. Dawns dad has been diagnosed with a terminal illness and they want him there to share this special day.

 

If Garry and Dawn are successful, The Heart Wedding will be held at the magical Warwick Castle, with everything from the brides dress, rings, flowers and photographer taken care of, plus a stunning two week honeymoon to Australia.

 

On getting to the final, Dawn said: “This is a dream come true for us, providing a special day for the whole family to have some great memories to take away for the future.”

 

Garry added: “This is a fantastic opportunity for Dawn and I to relive our special day again the way we would have wanted.”
